AHS Alum Lon Oakley, ’65, has authored a book detailing Leopard memories from November 22, 1963 — the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated and Dallas Police Officer J.D. Tippit was killed in the line of duty. The memories Lon has gathered differ from anything previously published about that day. It contains the unique perspectives of those teens who went to see President Kennedy and those who were in school, unknowingly in the midst of historic events right outside their school windows. This book details the recollections of 101 students, former students, teachers and families on that tragic day.
Don’t miss out on having your own copy of Two Deaths and an Arrest, a unique look at a historical day.
