Adamson vs. Sunset Rally
PEP RALLY AND FOOTBALL GAME:
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, Adamson supporters gathered for a spirited pep rally in preparation for the Adamson vs. Sunset football game that took place the following evening. Leopard fans met near Oddfellows Restaurant, sporting their blue shirts and waving blue and white pom poms passed out by Alumni Association members. Following the parade, the party continued at El Corazon de Tejas (corner of Beckley Ave. and Davis St.), where the restaurant owners offered to donate 20% of the food/beverage intake back to Adamson High School. Thank you El Corazon de Tejas!
At El Corazon de Tejas, Lon Oakley (class of ’65) sold copies of his new book, Two Deaths and an Arrest. Lon will donate proceeds of the book to the Adamson Alumni Association.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, GAME ON!!!! The Leopards and Bisons continued their rekindled football rivalry at Kincaide Stadium, I-20 & S. Polk, at 7:30 p.m.
The old cheer, “Slaughter the Bisons, we want meat!!! came alive as the Leopards roared to a 40-6 victory on Friday night, making their early season record 2-0.
